Missiles and More Museums Learn about the very early
days of the United States' first rocket program during the 1940's.
The museum is located at 720 Channel Blvd., Topsail Beach. Contact

Parks There are 2 public parks in Surf City. One at
the Surf City Bridge that offers picnic areas, fishing & public
boating facilities. The other park is located .6 miles south of the
Surf City traffic light on S. Topsail Drive. It offers a playground,
picnic areas & basketball court. There is one park in North Topsail
Beach, located 10 miles north of the Surf city traffic light. It
offers a playground, basketball court, tennis courts, volleyball,
horseshoes and picnic areas.
Sea Turtle Hospital The Karen Beasley Sea Turtle
Rescue & Rehabilitation Center, the only facility in North Carolina
which cares for sick and injured turtles is a must see while on
Topsail Island. It is located at 822 Carolina Blvd., Topsail Beach

Tennis
Public tennis courts are available at the park in North Topsail
Beach, Wilmington and Jacksonville. For a fee, Belvedere Plantation
in Hampstead is available.
Theaters Both Wilmington and Jacksonville
have a number of local theaters.
Wilmington also offers several stage performances during the year at Thalian Hall and Kenan Auditorium.
